As we celebrate our centennial year, Chula Vistans can make time to look back at the past, share the present of 2011, and envision our next 100 years. Both individuals and groups can help build for our future now by volunteering our time for 100 minutes in the centennial year of 2011.
Make a personal commitment to give 100 minutes of community service to Chula Vista and to those who live and work here. Each of us knows someone or someplace in Chula Vista that could benefit from a little extra help – your time as a volunteer can go a long way to make a difference.
100 minutes is just over an hour-and-a-half. Teaming up with your friends, family, congregation, or service organization through volunteering can have an impressive impact by cleaning up neighborhoods, removing graffiti, serving a meal, reading to a child, and hundreds of other ways to help organizations and individuals in need.
Chula Vista is a great place to live. We can make it better by making gifts of our time and talents. Say, “I Love Chula Vista” and pledge to give 100 Minutes of Service to our community during our 100th birthday year.
